It's the final month of 2011! It's also the start of my 6th month in London. How time flies when you are having fun!
This month I spent just over 200 pounds on birthday presents for 8 people. I'm returning to Perth in February and have to make up for the birthdays I've missed. Funnily enough, all but one of my friends have birthdays in the second half of the year.
Now for gifts for myself :-P
My souvenir from Iceland:
Earrings from Gling Glo, she is an Icelandic jeweller.
I stumbled at an undercover market place where they had handmade stalls- like the Perth Upmarket.
Winter is definitely here in London. Although it hasn't snowed, it's raining and cold :-(
It is also the season for boots. All stores are offering different styles. It's almost like jean shopping and we all now how painful it can get!
My ideal boots spotted at Selfridges. Not the most cheapest place to start looking!
Chloe boots for 800 pounds... a little over my budget...
Ferragamo ones for 400 pounds. Half the price of Chloe but still a bit too much!
I found a pair of Geox ones for 150 pounds but wasn't completely satisfied with them. By then I'd tried on a gazillion boots and had given up hope of finding a pair this winter.
You know what they say, you always find things when you aren't really looking...
Ash George boots from Liberty!
Not entirely the cheapest store to go looking for boots they were a reasonable 255 pounds.
Almost knee high and I managed to zip my calves in them :-P
No elastic at the calf section which means they will last longer too.
A little bit utilitarian but good for stomping around
From Valencia:
My friend wanted to go back to Valencia for more Lladro porcelain pieces. They are very expensive even the factory second pieces.
A factory second tealight holder for 20 euros. The non factory seconds were 40 euros.
Other designs:
Another purchase from Iceland:
Second hand CK wool coat from the flea market in Reykjavik. Was 1500 Icelandic kronas which is about 8 pounds. Ding!
Lined leather gloves from Valencia. About 45 pounds converted from euros.
A work top bought from Valencia.
I also updated my underwear with these 3 bras
A bright Fossil bag to brighten up my winter.
It's also comes with shorter straps so it can be a shoulder bag as well.
The other side of the bag- a neutral colour should I get sick of the bright colours
You can see some blue from my jeans transfer of colour... so I suppose I will always need to use the other side.
Elle Mag from the US- October edition and La Seduction book. Bought these at Gatwick airport while waiting for my flight to Iceland.
Girl crush on Miranda Kerr.
Not shown are a pair of fleeced lined tights.
Well that's my November spending. Two pieces of clothing and a pair of shoes. Almost got there with not buying any clothes. I suppose if I counted those clothes as 'souvenirs'...
Now that will be cheating a little ;-)
