May Shopping Round Up

This was the month I started my travels (Seoul & Japan) but I also had several days in Perth.

In no particular order, I'll start with this blouse I picked up in Korea. It's a very pale peachy pink colour. I was able to try it on (and it fitted!). It's very short but I do have a pair of high waisted pants that will work with this blouse.

Next up is a Uniqlo white buttoned shirt from Singapore. The sleeves are a good length and they are able to be turned up to elbow length. Also the shirt is not sheer but it is a little bit stiff. A white shirt is a good classic especially for a travelling wardrobe.

In Japan, I bought another suitcase. That is two suitcases in two months!! I decided that my North Face suitcase from last month was useful but in the end slightly too small to move my already limited stuff to the other side of the world. The sandwich opening is also much more easier to pack. At the airport, the bag came to 28.7kg. Not too bad!

I also bought this backpack in Seoul. With carrying luggage up stairs, a handbag is the most useless thing ever!! A backpack is much more handy as it leaves two hands free. Also my handbag was getting too heavy just for one shoulder. Balancing the weight on my shoulders is much more back friendly!

Below is a Kathmandu shower bag/packing cube. I bought it in Perth thinking it would be handy to acces 'wet' things in the shower separate to my 'dry' things. Useful for Japan and Korea but I condensed all my wet and dry things into one toiletries bag for London. Plus I really liked the purple colour.

Elle Mcpherson boylegs again:

A red Gorman waist belt- useful for when you want a splash of red in a very black outfit.

Gorman striped tee.
I've been on the look out for a decent striped tee for a while and this is perfect. Very classic and not in the harsh navy and white, instead it's navy and cream.

Gorman black blazer.

While I was cleaning out my wardrobe, I realised I didn't have a proper blazer. When I went for my last wander around the city, I went into the Gorman store at Ennex and found the the one above. It's lined and the sleeves only come down to my wrist. Nonetheless, it's good for chilly summers but also for more formal settings. Also it matched really well with the striped shirt from above.

Silk scarf from Kyoto markets (To-ji temple).
It is sooo soft and precious. The lady who runs the store makes them in a whole range of different colours as well as headbands and what not. She also gave me washing instructions and a discount! It will help add some colour when I'm wearing a dark coloured outfit.

2 kimonos from the same Kyoto market.
Both are summer kimonos. The Kyoto markets has heaps of kimonos to choose from and the prices varies as well.

A Nique dress that I bought online.

That is the stock photo from the website because the dress has been sent to Perth! It will patiently wait in Perth until I go back sometime next year. This will be a useful test to see if the items I buy will stand the test of time.

Finally I bought another Witchery ruched shirt similar to the one I bought in January:

I can only show you the beige one because I forgot to take a photo of it before I left Perth! But the one I bought was a dusty purple colour. I love the fit of the shirts.

So those are the additions to my wardrobe. I definitely could've done without the Gravis luggage or the backpack since I have similar ones in Perth. I didn't take them with me and while in Seoul and Japan realised I really did need them. Bother! Well I am making good use of them now and will do for several months.

Other things my money went towards were:

Nice! I adore the kimonos and your Gorman haul. I also have those Witchery tops in too many colours as they go with practically everything.

Have fun (and stay safe!) on your travels :)
