Finished some "projects" off last Saturday but haven't had a chance to post them up.
First up are my very first ever socks! They aren't real socks. More like legwarmers with decreasing rounds and finished off at the end. I was trying to knit a real pair but I got confused so based it on another sock I have which does have the heel thing. The real test for me now is to knit the next side!

Looks like a normal sock when u wear it :-)

The next thing I made on Saturday night was a placemat for my sewing machine. It was a simple patchwork from the leftovers of my Amy Butler quilt and was inspired by this post. As you can see, halfway thru, I just sewed a big piece of green fabric. I figured, the sewing machine is pretty much going to cover 95% of the mat so why bother??? (Yes I get lazy like that). I also made a pin cushion but have yet to sew it down.

I used some Amy Butler scraps from the quilt

See! The sewing machine does cover most of it!!

I do have another thing to show you but it's too cold to model it therefore take a pic of it. It's a wrap top by McCalls and it was supposed to be 2hrs of sewing time. Maybe I am new to a wrap top but it certainly did not take 2 hours. Pictures soon!
